Officer Dennis Lynch brings 30 years of decorated law enforcement experience to the Fox Chapel Area School District. Prior to becoming a school resource officer, Officer Lynch served as a narcotics officer for the Penn Hills Police Department and Southwest Hills Drug Task Force. Officer Lynch also served as the crime prevention officer for the Penn Hills Police Department and organized a neighborhood crime watch. Officer Lynch received the Medal of Valor from the International Narcotics Officer Enforcement Association, and he also received letters of accommodation from the FBI, the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, and the Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office. After retiring from the Penn Hills Police Department, Officer Lynch served as a school police officer for the Freeport Area School District at Freeport Area Middle School. Officer Lynch is a member of the National Association of School Resource Officers and a certified ALICE trainer.
